Overview

At Kaara Hotels, we are pleased to welcome your four-legged companions and strive to ensure a comfortable stay for both pet-owning guests and other patrons.

Policy Standard: To maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and guest experience, we request all guests travelling with pets to review and comply with the following Pet Policy guidelines.

1. Eligibility

  • We welcome all furry breeds of dogs and cats. However, for breeds like the Husky, Pitbull, German Shepherd, Doberman, Rottweiler, and Boxer, case-to-case exceptions are welcome and prior approvals are required.

  • A maximum of one (1) pet per room is allowed.

  • Pets should not exceed 25 kg in weight.

  • Aggressive breeds or pets with a history of aggressive behaviour are not permitted.

  • All pets must be fully vaccinated and in good health.

  • After making the reservation/booking, guests are requested to forward the Anti Rabies Vaccination and 9 in 1 Vaccination details of their pets to reservations@kaarahotels.com. Guests are also welcome to provide any further vaccination, other medical and health details.

2. Pet Fees & Deposits

  • A non-refundable Supplementary Pet charge of ₹1500 per stay / per night (as applicable) will be charged.

  • A refundable security deposit of ₹2500 will be collected at check-in. This deposit serves to ensure the upkeep of our premises. In the event of damage or excessive cleaning, this deposit may become non-refundable.

  • Any damages beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the guest’s account.

3. Designated Pet-Friendly Areas

  • Pets are permitted only in designated pet-friendly Highest Category rooms as it gives your pet more space to play, relax and move around freely.

  • Pet-permitted areas may vary by property and may not be the same across all Kaara Hotels locations.

  • For the comfort, hygiene, and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted in the swimming pool. Any guest found violating this policy will be liable to pay a mandatory cleaning and sanitation fee of ₹25,000, which will be charged to the guest’s account without exception.

Strictly Restricted Areas:

Pets are not allowed in the following spaces:

  • Restaurants & Bars
  • Swimming Pool Area
  • Gym & Spa
  • Banquet Halls & Closed Event Spaces
  • Kitchens and Food Preparation Areas

4. Guest Responsibilities & Etiquettes

  • Your pets must be leashed at all times when in public areas.

  • Pets should not be left unattended in guest rooms.

  • Guests travelling with pets are kindly requested to clean up after their pets within the hotel premises and in the surrounding areas. All pet waste should be disposed of promptly and responsibly to help maintain cleanliness and respect the neighborhood.

  • It is preferred that guests travelling with pets make their own arrangements for pet food, as the hotel kitchen and food-handling areas operate under regulated hygiene protocols and are unable to prepare or store pet food.

  • Guests are requested to supervise their pets and ensure their well-being at all times.

  • To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, the use of a muzzle may be requested, if a pet shows excessive barking or reactive behavior.

  • For pets that may soil indoors, the use of pet diapers is recommended to help maintain cleanliness throughout the property.

  • Guests are fully responsible for any injury, damage, or disturbance caused by their pet.

5. Housekeeping & Room Access

  • Housekeeping services will be provided only when the pet is not present in the room.

  • Guests are requested to inform the front desk of convenient housekeeping timings.

  • A specialised deep-cleaning protocol will be followed after pet checkout.

6. Health, Safety & Liability

  • Proof of up-to-date vaccinations may be requested at check-in or to be emailed to reservations@kaarahotels.com while booking.

  • Guests must provide an emergency contact number for the pet owner.

  • Kindly note, at all times owners are solely responsible for their pet and its wellbeing and that at no point can our hotel and will our hotel be responsible for your pet, its health and / or its wellbeing.

  • In the unfortunate event of damages caused by your pet, the hotel reserves the right to assess and determine the extent of the damage and associated costs. Charges for damages will be applied to the guest's account accordingly, reflecting the actual cost of repairs, replacements, or any additional services required to restore the affected property to its original condition.

  • Please note that our terms and conditions, including the Pet Policy, may be updated from time to time without prior notice. Our guests will duly be informed of any updates to our terms and conditions through our website and other communication channels.

7. Right of Refusal

Kaara Hotels reserves the right to refuse accommodation or discontinue a pet's stay if the pet poses a health or safety risk, causes repeated disturbances, or if policy guidelines are not followed.

8. Agreement

By checking in with a pet, the guest confirms understanding and acceptance of this Pet Policy and agrees to comply with all terms stated above.
